On Thursday, October 24, 2024, the Department of Climate Change and Environment, represented by Ms. Rabiab Phupha, Director of the Climate Change Adaptation Division, joined the opening ceremony and gave a lecture on the topic of "Climate Change and Environment Department Policy" at the Green Technology Expo 2024 at the BITEC Exhibition and Convention Center (BITEC), Hall EH102, with Professor Emeritus Dr. Kasem Wattanachai, Privy Councilor and President of the Thai-Chinese Science and Technology Association, presiding over the opening ceremony to promote the development of green technologies in Thailand, focusing on reducing greenhouse gas emissions (Carbon Neutrality) and supporting the use of clean energy in the industrial sector, which will help create a low-carbon society and sustainable development. In the event, the Department of Climate Change and Environment organized an exhibition under the theme "Thailand's Decarbonization Pathway", consisting of Thailand's climate change action plan, information on carbon reduction paths, and environmental Q&A activities to raise awareness and encourage public participation in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change, emphasizing the importance of implementing greenhouse gas reduction and adapting to climate change in Thailand.
